Rebound from Thanksgiving with Infrared Fitness

I am writing this blog article on the Friday after Thanksgiving…which is the day that Americans consume the most number of calories as compared to any other day of the year (day of Super Bowl comes in second).

I heard recently that the average American consumes over 4000 calories on Thanksgiving Day.  Wow, that’s a lot of pigging out considering the average basal metabolic rate per day for an American woman is 1400 calories and 1800 for men.

Admittedly, I know that I came close to that 4k number myself yesterday.  One big cheat day every now and then will not destroy your fitness program, though, so long as you rebound from the gluttony immediately the next day with a return to discipline and dedication to your workouts.

I recommend that you jump back into gear right after Thanksgiving and prepare yourself for the upcoming schedule of endless Christmas parties, football games and New Year’s Eve events that are yet to come your way during this holiday season…

I feel pretty good today, the day after Thanksgiving. Black Friday was a good Friday.  I feel good because, even though I ate thousands of calories yesterday, I kept my commitment to workout hard and to fast for most of the day.  So far I have consumed less than 500 calories today and I am done eating today.  My fasted workout today consisted of:

1-Weight training for calves and triceps,

2-Hot Warrior 30 minute isometric workout at HOTWORX (125º of infrared),

3-Hot Cycle 15 minute HIIT training at HOTWORX (125º of infrared).

Just the Warrior and Cycle generated a calorie burn 886 calories burned from beginning to about 40 minutes after the workouts within a total time period of only one hour and thirty minutes!  Infrared training is an exceptional way to counter a day of over-eating and lounging on the couch.

It is now 6:08 P.M. on Black Friday and I have burned a total of 2,652 calories for the day.  So, with my BMR of 1,800 and with approximately only 500 calories to be consumed today, I am feeling properly rebounded from the caloric onslaught of Thanksgiving.

If I did consume 4k calories yesterday, then I am properly balanced out now and back to a slight caloric deficit again, thanks to my infrared workout rebound!
