Megan Alders

(Dallas, TX)

Bio: I have experience in instructing indoor cycle, HIIT classes, yoga, pilates, and weight training. My passion is health and wellness – both in mind and body! I believe that we all have layers of potential that are just waiting to be unlocked and accessed. We never stop learning and growing, but we need the help of others to push us to become the next better version of ourselves. This is part of why fitness and wellness is such a passion of mine. I thrive most when instructing classes and helping others. I hope to join you in this endeavor!

While not teaching classes, I find myself diving into books and searching for new and interesting music. I am both a bookworm and music fanatic. I graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and am planning to obtain my Masters in Social Work. I love being outdoors, cooking, and hosting gatherings with friends and family.

Motivation: I believe in HOTWORX and have grown a passion for HOTWORX training. I believe I will allow clients to have an even better workout and therefore better results due to my energy, skill sets, knowledge of the fitness industry and benefits of HOTWORX, passion for the workout, teaching skills, and desire to help others grow into their best selves! I have firsthand experience of how amazing HOTWORX is and will be able to share this in my teaching.

Yasmin Anders

(Birmingham, AL)

Bio: I am a mom, UFC wife and fitness competitor. I’m from Brazil. I speak 5 languages and I’m passionate about traveling around the world to compete.

Motivation: I love the concept of the franchise and it would be a dream come to become one of the instructors, the money is not even relevant I’d accept doing it even without payment. The passion I have for the fitness lifestyle rewards me beyond that.

Jessica Angelique
(Fayetteville, AR)

Bio: I am Puerto Rican but grew up in Mexico. I was adopted by missionary parents and did not move to the United States until my early teens. I am a former dancer for the University of Arkansas pom squad and earned a degree in sociology and criminal justice. I have four children and my favorite hobby is reading murder mysteries.

Motivation: I am a former cancer patient. I know firsthand how difficult it was to battle for my health and for my life. I want people to know that they can overcome extremely hard health situations as my team of doctors and fitness regimen helped me go from being in a wheelchair due to the pain of my chemo treatments to being a fitness instructor. On top of that society tells us that once we have children, we have to live with the “mom bod”. I want women to know that there is never a cut off for being fit, healthy, strong, and in love with their body.

Jessa Arevalo

(Stafford, TX)

Bio: My name is Jessa Arevalo. I started my fitness journey in 2013. At the time, I was a girl who felt lost and didn’t have a vision. I was living life day by day and I felt as if there wasn’t a purpose. Then suddenly, an unexpected event changed my life forever. My mother informed my little sister and I that she was diagnosed with stage 4 gastric cancer. There was a brief period in my life where I fell into the restaurant industry which led me down a path of drinking every weekend and I used this as my escape from the pain I was experiencing. As time progressed, I was called in to try out a personal training session and because of this event, my life’s trajectory changed completely. I felt as if fitness gave me a purpose and helped me discover my gift in which I was meant to share with the world. I was told many times how much I had the potential to compete in bodybuilding but, I didn’t truly unleash my potential until I pursued fitness as a career. I became a personal trainer after a year and I met many mentors along the way. All of the people I have met during this journey of mine has helped me improve and contributed to the success I have achieved. I was always a skinny girl growing up and the beginning of my fitness journey was incredibly hard because although I had a vision in mind, I just had to continue to believe in myself that I would get to where I dreamt I would be. Since 2013, I was able to achieve the following: become a certified personal trainer, fitness model, be on the front page of a magazine, won model of the month, sponsored by multiple clothing companies, won first place and become a nationally qualified NPC Figure Competitor, represent 8x Mr. Olympia Ronnie Coleman, and I will be an EMT/Firefighter by the end of this year! I am also a social media influencer and I have people who follow me on my journey. I love to vlog because social media gives you the platform to help people all over the world.

Motivation: When I was a lost girl at the beginning of my fitness journey. I saw that social media was a big reason as to why I am as successful as I am today. I looked up to many fitness models and bodybuilders for advice and inspiration. I set fitness models as my wallpaper or lock screen to push me through a bad day and to always tell myself, everyday I am one step closer to being to where they are. I want to be that person. I want someone to look at me one day and say: “because of you.. I did not give up”. We are all able to change at least one person’s life.. and I want to cause a ripple effect. I want my HOTWORX videos to produce more success stories!

Lorian Bates
(Indianapolis, IN)

Bio: I am a business data analyst, massage therapist, and power yoga teacher who currently resides in Indianapolis, IN. I am also currently working towards my MBA with a concentration in Health Informatics. I have been a member of HOTWORX since it opened in Fishers, IN in Spring 2018. I love the workouts. As a healer, busy techie, and overall fitness enthusiast, I recommend the HOTWORX to everyone I know- and everyone I don’t know…yet! I believe that balance is key and it can be achieved with the right support systems and wellness models in place. I believe in the power of healing through movement, and I do everything I can to motivate others to access their own potential and healing energy.

Motivation: I want to find more balance and involvement with my yoga teaching. When I relocated from Chicago to Indianapolis, I felt really boxed out of the yoga communities here. Stylistically and culturally, it was difficult to adjust and find my niche. Then HOTWORX opened. There, in the small, close, warm setting, I have found the most genuine souls the city has to offer. It was the community I was looking for. I want to use my talents, passions, and formal training to support this beautiful community. It would be such an honor.

Sarah Carlson

Devin Chadwick
(Hoover, AL)

Bio: My name is Devin Chadwick. I am currently the General Manager at HOTWORX Vestavia Hills! But my love for HOTWORX didn’t start here it just continued! I was a member at the HOTWORX in Oxford right when it opened up. I have always been into fitness but I was so intrigued by the HOTWORX concept that led me straight to it when I was a student at Ole Miss. I moved to Birmingham almost a year ago and was an event coordinator but when Leigh Ann Allen was opening up the Vestavia Hills location I couldn’t not take the opportunity to fully dive right into the HOTWORX company. It was my love for it that made me want to be around it literally 24/7. I have loved opening up this studio and watching my members fall in love with HOTWORX just like I did. I would absolutely love the opportunity to become an even bigger role in the HOTWORX community.

Motivation: I would say my members are motivating me to become a Virtual Instructor. They have always asked me since we opened why am I not a Virtual Instructor and that I would do so great. They have pushed me to test it out, why not see where I can grow with this.

Cristina Chan
(Los Angeles, CA)

Bio: I love that training allows a way to therapeutically, holistically, and most of all a fun way to recenter ourselves and get our bodies moving the way it is meant to. I love to move because I love to play. I am an NCAA women’s lacrosse national champion, surfer, dancer, martial artist but above all those things, I’m a coach. Helping people live healthier lifestyles and get more energy to do what they love is why I wake up and put passion into my work.

Motivation: I want to step out of my comfort zone and take the skills I have acquired over the years and put them to test.

Sydney Cintron
(Wellington, FL)

Bio: I currently work at HOTWORX in Wellington FL. I originally joined as a member during presale enrollment because I needed to gain range of motion back in my arms. In May I competed in my 4th bodybuilding show and won in my class. 1 month later I was diagnosed with breast cancer at 25. I went through a bilateral mastectomy with full reconstructive surgery and removal of 3 lymph nodes. It was this that lead me to HOTWORX

Motivation: I really love what HOTWORX stands for. the concept behind it and the benefits of the infrared sauna. I know HOTWORX will change my life as well as many others. It is a movement I want to be apart of and I know I will represent it well.

Motivation: I get it. I bet you’re looking for someone with a perfect body, an amazing professional fitness resume and awesome photos. I don’t have all of that but I am accessible. I am a working mom and I know your clients. I know the type of person that will come to your studio and my approach and my look is unique and what you need. Yes I can stand on my head and don’t look terrible in a bikini but more importantly I will retain your clients to keep coming back. I look like their neighbor, their sister, their favorite friend from the school pick up line. I think this concept is super cool. I have three tiny kids so instructing regularly at a scheduled time doesn’t always work. I miss teaching fitness and I love the idea of virtual motivation. If you give me a chance to audition for this I promise you I will not disappoint.

I have been training and competing my entire life as an athlete, growing up playing football, basketball, and baseball. I have always enjoyed training as preparation for sports performance and even more so for maintaining a healthy lifestyle. I went through a period in my life where I had gotten lost with where I wanted to be physically and mentally in, and Fitness was the key factor in getting me back on track and ready to overcome adversity no matter what life threw at me. I got into fitness coaching to help do the same for others. I love coaching/helping people to achieve their goals and live healthier, happier lives.

Motivation: I believe HOTWORX is the most innovative gym when it comes to offering an efficient and effective workout regime, it has something for any and every type of gym goer that wants to get in shape or stay in shape. No other gym offers this type of workout setting. I have always been an avid believer in the health benefits of using a sauna for muscle/joint recovery, and the wellness it brings over your body. To have a gym like HotWorx that combines 24hr training sessions within a sauna is truly remarkable. I would love to join the HOTWORX team. I have a huge passion for training and fitness, and I think HOTWORX embodies everything that I want to represent in the fitness world.

Courtney Harness
(Prairieville, LA)

Bio: My name is Courtney “CJay” Harness, I am 31 years old, and I am currently a middle school teacher and fitness instructor. Throughout my entire life I have been engaged in some form of physical activity; I have played basketball, softball, in gymnastics, and ran/coached track, but the sport that I fell in love with was cheerleading. Since 2001, I have been involved in cheerleading in one way or another: high school and college cheerleader, professional MLS cheerleader, and now coaching cheerleading. It is by far my favorite sport. When I am not coaching cheerleaders, I am teaching. Teaching is definitely my passion and my mission. Currently, I am teaching middle school math, but I actually began my career as a Physical Education teacher. While, I was teaching PE, I convinced my principal to let me start a junior/senior women’s fitness class as an elective for the young ladies on campus. It was my favorite class. In class we were able to explore various types of workouts, learn about proper nutrition and healthy weight to lose and manage weight loss/weight gain. It was definitely a highlight my teaching career. Even though, I transitioned into teaching math, health and fitness was still a big part of my life, so last year I began my career as a certified group fitness instructor. Last summer, I began teaching a Hip Hop Cardio and Cardio Kickboxing class at a local studio. I am excited to continue my fitness career by possibly becoming a HOTWORX virtual instructor.

Motivation: I am passionate about health and fitness. I want to help other people develop a passion like mine. I want to help them develop genuine joy for working out and crave that feeling you receive (endorphins) after a great workout. I feel in love with HOTWORX after one workout and I would love to be apart of the team.

Ingrid Howard
(Trussville, AL)

Bio: I’m a journalist at a community newspaper in Birmingham, Alabama. In my free time, I enjoy studying Mandarin Chinese, binge watching Netflix and Hulu TV shows, reading long fiction novels and — of course — getting my sweat on at HOTWORX. I have two active dogs, so I also enjoy going with them on long walks after my workouts while my endorphins are still high. I have been married for seven months and will soon spend a year with him in Enid, Oklahoma, for his pilot training. My aspirations in life are to continue learning more languages, remain active and healthy and to travel to Europe and Asia.

Motivation: I have selfish reasons, such as fulfilling my competitive nature and giving me a reason to be extra active. But on top of it all, I just love this company and want to be a part of it. HOTWORX is like a family. I could spend all day at my local HOTWORX and feel surrounded by people who love and support me. I feel like I know my virtual instructors on a personal level, even before I met a couple of them. I want to be this person for other people and pay it forward.

Katelynn Hurlbutt
(Derby, KS)

Bio: Fitness has been my passion from day one. Growing up I was able to try all kinds of sports but ended up falling in love with competitive cheerleading. I cheered for twelve years which gave me the opportunity to compete against teams from all over the world, and travel to Europe to cheer on team U.S.A at United World Games. I loved the sport so much I ended up coaching while in college. I graduated with an associate degree in Applied Science, and a Minor in Surgical Technology. I’m currently working as a surgical technologist at a heart hospital. Working in surgery has given me the opportunity to see first-hand how different lifestyles can affect the body on the inside. I think this fires my passion for inspiring others to live a healthy lifestyle.

Motivation: Watching people transform physically and mentally is so satisfying to me. Unfortunately, with all the new “fad diets” and debates on what type of workouts work the best, I think parts of the fitness industry have become somewhat intimidating to a lot of people. This makes it hard to figure out where to start. I believe HOTWORX brings a new energy to the fitness industry by providing such a wide variety of effective workout sessions in inferred saunas that are proven to do more than just help you lose weight. I believe when it comes down to living a healthy lifestyle you have to focus on finding a nutrition and fitness plan you enjoy so you can stick to it. I hope to help people realize living a healthy lifestyle doesn’t have to be complicating and hard. The thing that motivates me the most is being able to cheer people on, helping them realize they can find a gym that feels like a second home, and watching them crush their goals.

Keeley Kourvelas
(Dallas, TX)

Bio: I’m Keeley and I’m a 27 year old aspiring HOTWORX Virtual Instructor living in Dallas, TX. I’m the General Manager at HOTWORX Dallas (Skillman and Abrams) and I have a passion for health and fitness that began from a very young age. I feel so blessed to be working in a career that I absolutely love. I tell people all the time that there isn’t a day that goes by that I dread my job and let me tell you, it took some trial and error to get to this point.

Aside from working and getting all my friends and family to workout with me, you can find me at the dog park with my pup, taking weekend road trips, scoping out the best brunch spots in Dallas, belting songs and dancing my heart out (with my not-so-good singing voice and questionable dance moves) at any live show, or spending time at my happy place: the lake.

Lover of Jesus, all things Texas, and a regular Sunday Funday goer, I never run out of things to talk about and I’ll always be here to keep you entertained.

Motivation: My goal is and always will be to make a difference day-to-day, whether it be big or small. I feel like I’m accomplishing that as a General Manager by helping people with their health and fitness goals and being a HOTWORX Virtual Instructor would take this to the next step. I want to encourage others, share my passion, and keep people excited about working out.

I also love being involved in multiple avenues. Life is short, you have to keep things interesting. And what an amazing experience this would be!

Teaching an average of 12 Pilates classes and 17 dance classes a week, Al fills her days with developing new class plans to cross-train her young dancers, and spice up her weekly Pilates classes, always bringing her knowledge of Anatomy, Physiology, and Kinesiology to the forefront. Her BFA in Dance from Western Michigan University allowed her to train with world renowned choreographers and experience tastes of the professional world before graduating. Allison’s passion and dreams are to spread fitness for every type of person to show how healthy living can not only transform your physical health, but also your mental and emotional.

Motivation: I have had a huge desire in bringing my fitness instruction to more audiences than the 12 people who can come to my reformer-based Pilates class. I have recorded myself teaching a class for clients to take on vacation when they are worried about losing their momentum. I believe that everyone should have access to fitness at all times, but also, instructors are real people. Real people who need sleep, vacations, and time off. With virtual instruction, you are able to take that instructor’s class at whatever time suits YOUR schedule, instead of being at the mercy of theirs. After being introduced to HOTWORX, I am already obsessed with the feeling I got after asking the classes and the mission HOTWORX is working to provide. I currently live in Pittsburgh and am so sad that there is not a studio near me that I could belong to. I believe this company has the greater good of people’s health and fitness in mind, and that is something that I want to be connected with. This is the type of work that I want my life to focus on.

My clientele base consists of fifty or more individuals, all ranging between the ages of 20 up to 90 years of age. Fitness is my dedication. Motivation: Fitness and wellness are both important aspects of life. I am driven daily to challenge and motivate others through exercise instruction and encourage them to continue to make positive strides towards their personal health. I find the greatest satisfaction in my work when I lead exercise classes that are both safe and effective, as well as fun.

I am motivated to be the next HOTWORX Virtual Instructor as a way to reach and serve others. It is a privilege to encourage countless others on their fitness journey. From beginners who are taking their first exercise class, up to the athlete who is training five days a week, there is something everyone can gain from a competent instructor.

I am choosing to apply to HOTWORX because it is a new challenge for me to face. It is an opportunity to apply my knowledge and my training as a professional leader.

Lacey Pruett
(Coppell, TX)

Bio: Hi! I manage my own business as a speaker, yoga teacher, and author and am passionate about helping women squash their limiting beliefs to level up. I was a communications manager in corporate America for 12 years before pursuing my health & wellness goals, becoming a certified instructor in indoor cycling, kick boxing, and as a run coach. I obtained my 200 RYT in May 2017 and became a yoga teacher that same month. Part of my background is on-camera as a commercial actress and former TV Host for a local show here in the DFW area. I speak to groups of women regarding various holistic wellness topics, a role I started serving in as Mrs. Texas in 2012.

Motivation: I am a big believer in the health benefits of infrared heat! I first learned about it a while back, but it was a fairly new concept, and I recall most people poking fun of me for working out in a heated room. (I don’t hang around those people any longer…) I would love to promote a quick, detoxifying, healthy solution to people’s health goals, and show busy people that they CAN prioritize a workout around their schedules. I want to use my God-given compassion to meet people where they are at and inspire them toward their best self. That fires me up! I also love challenging myself and seeing what I am capable of. The pageant girl in me is attracted to the virtual instructor competition process. 🙂

Tyler Rice
(Oxford, MS)

Bio: Hey y’all! I’m Tyler Rice from Baton Rouge, Louisiana and am a current undergraduate student at the University of Mississippi in Oxford, Mississippi. I am pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Spanish, Psychology, and Legal Studies. I am a former SEC Student Athlete as a 4-year member of the Ole Miss Rebelette Dance Team. As an Ole Miss Rebelette I had the opportunity to perform on the field at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium during every Ole Miss Football home game. In addition to cheering on the Ole Miss Rebels, I also founded, alongside my best friend, a mental health awareness, non-profit organization at the University called Active Minds at the University of Mississippi. Active Minds is a national non-profit organization, with chapters at many universities across the nation, dedicated to promoting mental health awareness among college students in an effort to start the conversation about mental health on campuses. Most importantly, I am a daughter to my mom and dad, an older sister to my two sisters, a dog-mom to my puppy, and a member of the HOTWORX Oxford team.

Motivation: The motivation I have to become a HOTWORX Virtual Instructor is the same motivation I have behind everything I do in life, which comes from knowing that somewhere out in the world is a little girl looking up to me as an inspiration, just as I once did. I am motivated by the fact that 10-years-ago, or even 5-years-ago, my younger self never could’ve imagined the person she would become. I am motivated by the possibility that I will be the inspiration and the role model for a little girl who does not yet know what she will become. Que sera sera.
