What lead you to explore franchise opportunities?
We were not looking for a franchise opportunity but I went to the Flower Mound, Texas, studio and after chatting with the GM I went straight home and told Mark that this was an amazing concept and that I wanted to learn more. I used the website email link and the next day I was starting the scheduled conversations with Cynthia and the more we talked the more excited I became and the next thing we knew we were in NOLA and franchise owners.

Can you describe your first HOTWORX experience?
AWESOME. Enlightening. Thought provoking. Energizing.

How was  your experience going through the HOTWORX Discovery Process?
I felt very informed, prepared and excited about going to NOLA after the conversations I had with Cynthia. She was informative, personable, relatable, enthusiastic and thorough.

What was it like attending Discovery Day and meeting the HOTWORX Executive Team?
From the jump we felt welcomed and wanted. What I mean by wanted is that we did not feel like everyone was just going through the motions of “ANOTHER” possible franchisee coming to Discovery Day. Cynthia and Nancy made us comfortable and excited about our trip prior to going. Nancy welcomed me at the airport and made sure I experienced a studio and got to my hotel safely. The next morning she picked us up and the first time we walked into the HOTWORX office we felt like we were already family. The entire team was welcoming and genuinely engaged in conversation and inclusive of everyone in the room during the meet and greet. The meeting was well planned, well executed and we could not have been more impressed with the organization of each department and the thought that has gone into every aspect of HOTWORX. But the thing that stands out the most to me is that the entire HOTWORX executive team genuinely likes each other and have chosen to work together for decades. That speaks volumes to the corporate culture.

What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs considering the opportunity to franchise with HOTWORX?
Take the time in the conversations with your recruiter and ask a lot of questions. Cynthia made it comfortable so it was easy to get a personal connection. Also, don’t miss a call. If you miss a call you go to Discovery Day later and then you could miss out on an opportunity. My first call was with Cynthia on January 28, 2019 and we signed our agreement on February 15, 2019. I was not going to let the opportunity get away.

What goals do you have in bringing HOTWORX to your market?
-Expose more people to the benefits of HOTWORX 3D Training with the added health benefits.
-Becoming a business leader (PR cheerleader) in the markets we go to and get the name HOTWORX to be as well known as the large box fitness companies.
-Have longterm security for Mark and I as we move closer to and into retirement.
-Leaving a legacy for our children (and we have a lot of them).
-Paying off our initial startup debt in the first year of each location.
-AND of course, being the best HOTWORX in the company!

What are you most excited for in your first year as a HOTWORX franchisee?
The hard work and partnerships that will ultimately give us our own businesses. I can’t wait to get started!
