What led you to explore franchise opportunities?

We were looking for an opportunity that would allow us start a business, but with a company that had structure and guidance built around the process. We have owned and operated a small business before, but nothing on this scale. This was a long process for us. We have been looking for the right opportunity for several years. We have met with several different companies and went through portions of the franchise process. It just didn't seem like the right fit, until we found HOTWORX.

Can you describe your first HOTWORX experience?

It was the best and most horrible experience all in one! I maybe did 1/2 of the workout. At one point, I was literally laying on my mat wondering if my next breath would come! In the sauna, I just kept hearing that promo that plays at the beginning run through my head 'try to stay in the sauna for the duration of today's session'. I have always been pretty fit and athletic and never really had a desire or need to work out. I turn 40 in 10 days from today and life started catching up with me. I had gained some weight and I noticed I would get winded in basic activities, so I knew something needed to change. I'm not a big gym type of person. I'm kinda self conscious and really don't know how to work the equipment, etc. I saw the HOTWORX in Benton had a banner up that they were open, so I stopped in on my lunch to check it out. I talked with Michael and came back that night for a complimentary workout. I joined a couple of workouts later, then I talked with my husband and he joined and my daughter Reese comes with us when she can. It's a family activity for us on many nights.

How was your experience going through the HOTWORX Discovery Process?

Fabulous! We had been looking for a business opportunity for several years and had explored several options that just didn't work out. When I was leaving a session one night, I saw a blurb on the bottom of one the TV's in the main area of the studio that said to go to the website for franchise information. I talked with my husband and he agreed we should check it out. I filled out the form online and submitted it. It literally was not 1 hour and Mandy called us back and we started the process on the same day. It was really convenient and we cannot say enough great things about Mandy. Just so you know how good your process is, on the same day I submitted an inquiry with another national vendor (not in the same market as HOTWORX). I have submitted a 2nd request to them and still have not received a response. I literally submitted a request with HOTWORX, went through the Discovery Process and have signed a franchise agreement with HOTWORX, before I even received the response from the other vendor.

What was it like attending Orientation Day and meeting the HOTWORX Executive Team?

It was a really great day. We knew no one, except Mandy, but everyone already seemed to know us. It was like you were meeting up with old friends. So comfortable and welcoming. It truly is a family atmosphere.

What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs considering the opportunity to franchise with HOTWORX?

Make your decision and get in quick - this train is headed for success and you don't want to miss it!

What goals do you have in bringing HOTWORX to your market?

We want our business to be successful: 500 members in 5 months and 1,000 members in 12 months. We want to set the standard for HOTWORX new franchisees, so 1 year from our opening, you can tell our story and encourage the new franchisees.

What are you most excited for in your first year as a HOTWORX franchisee?

The limitless possibilities. HOTWORX is one of those businesses, you are going to get out of it what you put into it. We plan to put in all that we have and hope that not only we benefit as a family and as business, but that we can also bring this amazing concept to my hometown to allow others the great workout we have come to know and love.
