What originally motivated you to consider a business opportunity?
Ever since we got married 12 years ago, we always dreamt of opening up our own business. We both ended up getting into healthcare (currently working as Respiratory Therapists) and have loved every moment of it, especially helping our patients progress in not only their cardiopulmonary health status, but an overall healthy state. We wanted to pursue something else that still helped others encourage and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
What led you to explore franchising rather than an independent business?
As this would be our first business, we don't even know where to start! HOTWORX just seemed to have a solid and streamlined way of day to day operations and seemed like a business we can trust to be successful, even in crazy times like this!
What was your initial impression of your first HOTWORX session?
As a member of HOTWORX, I was initially hooked. I saw the ad on social media and was already looking into changing up my workout routine so it sort of came at a perfect time. I inquired about the new HOTWORX opening up in my area and loved that it was smaller groups and guided by a trainer 24/7! Many people (myself included) have crazy schedules these days and different excuses to skip a workout. With it being open 24/7 and with various sessions to prevent boredom, it just seemed like a recipe for success!
How was your experience going through the HOTWORX Discovery Process?
Teresa was our recruiter and she was so informative and friendly! This definitely made our experience a good one. It was from her personable and bubbly personality that we made the decision to take the plunge. She definitely helped us along the way and was available for any questions or concerns that we had.
How would you describe your Orientation Day and meeting the HOTWORX Executive Team?
Unfortunately, we had to complete Orientation Day virtually due to COVID, but they made sure to let us know that they understand that life happens and we just adjust! Doing it from the comfort of our own home wasn't too bad at the end of the day. Meeting the HOTWORX Executive Team was great because it was nice to see who everyone is and what everyone's role is. Also, I see Steve on the screen at HOTWORX all of the time so meeting him on Orientation Day was just so awesome! He is such an inspirational person.
What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs considering the opportunity to franchise with HOTWORX?
For those of us interested in the California or west coast area, DO IT NOW! As it is fairly new to the west coast, you have so many options of where you want to start and there is nothing like this concept out here at all. Everyone is so friendly and helpful!
What are the top 3 reasons you chose to franchise with HOTWORX?
1. To promote and provide the community with more of an active lifestyle and increase in overall health.
2. HOTWORX seems to have a lot of experience in franchising and has an in-depth knowledge of the fitness industry of what works and what does not.

What excites you the most in offering HOTWORX to your community?
Not only that we can be part of promoting health and wellness in our own communities, but getting to know more people in our surrounding areas and making a difference in their lives.
What goals do you plan to accomplish in your first year as a HOTWORX franchisee?
Have a successful soft/grand opening, establish knowledge and experience of what it takes to run a business, retain members from the start of opening and keep them engaged.
How will HOTWORX help you achieve your personal and professional goals?
Being able to finally be our own boss and business owner, with the help and guidance of the HOTWORX Executive Team. HOTWORX will also allow us the flexibility of working hours so that we have more time to start a family. It will also allow us to gain some insight on how businesses run "behind the scenes" so that we can work towards improvement and growth.
