What led you to explore franchise opportunities?
I had been looking at franchise opportunities for the past 2-3 years for a couple of main reasons. The first is simply the fun challenge of owning a business and leading a team. The second is for the financial and time flexibility owning a franchise can provide for my family. The third reason is that my husband is my favorite person on earth and we have both served in the military, but have always looked forward to the opportunity to work together to serve our community at home.
Can you describe your first HOTWORX experience?
We loved our first HOTWORX session. We completed the Hot Iso session followed by the HIIT session with the assault bike. The virtual instruction was so easy to follow, it was fun to work out in a small group environment, and the workout felt amazing. Immediately following our workouts, walking out of the sauna into the cool air of the studio was instantly calming. My husband, who has done some major wear and tear to his body over his military career, is most looking forward to using all of the HOTWORX sessions and foam rolling as an augment to his regular routine. We both felt relaxed and slept so well that night!
How was your experience going through the HOTWORX Discovery Process?
Our experience through the HOTWORX Discovery Process was very informative, straightforward, and professional. Bebe was very knowledgeable, motivating, and accommodating to our busy schedules. The experience built our knowledge to a point where we were comfortable moving forward and we also really appreciated the transparency of the HOTWORX staff in encouraging us to reach out and talk with current franchisees to get a good and solid picture of their reality.
What was it like attending Orientation Day and meeting the HOTWORX Executive Team?
Orientation was professionally run by each and every HOTWORX Executive Team Member. We were given an in-depth look at every part of the business and were encouraged to ask questions, which we did a lot of. I was honestly most impressed with how well the team was organized and remained committed to the company over many years. The fact that the Executive Team has created extremely detailed checklists for every part of the process communicated to us that they are chasing excellence in everything that they do and made us feel very confident they could also lead us through this process successfully.
What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs considering the opportunity to franchise with HOTWORX?
I would advise other entrepreneurs considering the opportunity to franchise with HOTWORX to do a few things prior to making a commitment. First, research other franchise opportunities. We chose HOTWORX over several other franchises for a number of very specific reasons. Having those reasons prior to making a commitment allows us to move forward confidently and without hesitation that there may be another franchise out there better suited for us. Second, take the time to speak with other HOTWORX franchisees prior to attending Orientation Day. Speaking with other franchisees gave us several unique perspectives and details we were not aware of beforehand. It allowed us to know what the reality of owning a HOTWORX franchise looks like. We felt more informed and also knew what questions to ask during our Orientation Day in order to dig in to the information we felt we needed prior to making a commitment.
What are the top 3 reasons you chose to franchise with HOTWORX?
We chose to work with HOTWORX for several reasons. At the top of the list are the following: 1) The 3D innovation. HOTWORX is completely unique and offers a service that is beyond beneficial to its customers. Additionally, the HOTWORX business model allows us to reach more individuals than any traditional gym franchise, 2) the lower start-up costs, lower maintenance costs, and lower risks to the business and to customers (other gyms require hiring multiple trainers, managing their schedules AND personalities, a greater risk of injury to customers, less access due to increased cost of membership and lack of 24 hour services), 3) the HOTWORX Executive Team and the HOTWORX community.
What goals do you have in bringing HOTWORX to your market?
We want to bring a HOTWORX into our community for several reasons. There is nothing like this in our community and we feel we can impact a significant amount of people in a positive way. HOTWORX is set up in a way that does not discriminate- our community members will not be held back by their starting level of fitness, the hours they have available in their day for exercise, or by their pocket books. Lastly, we believe in the HOTWORX commitment to excellence in customer service. It is a lost art and we are excited to help people feel important and valuable.
What are you most excited for in your first year as a HOTWORX franchisee?
We are most excited about helping people through our HOTWORX studio. We cannot wait to see the results that people achieve through utilization of our studio and the ripple effect that can have in not only their own lives, but in the lives of others. We are also excited for the challenge of creating the absolute best HOTWORX studio in the nation through excellent service, professionalism, accountability, encouragement, and education!
