HOTWORX welcomes new franchisee, Cynthia Marrus, with the purchase of a franchise license in Shreveport, Louisiana!

What led you to explore franchise opportunities?
I had been out of the workforce for several years and after a divorce I thought it would be interesting, not to mention needed, to add to my income, so I began looking at business opportunities. I have never owned a franchise but had owned a taxicab business here in Shreveport. Enter: HOTWORX. I began researching the infrared sauna workout concept and was very impressed, so I took the next step, which led me to question number 2!

Can you describe your first HOTWORX experience?
My first intro to HOTWORX was several questions and answers with the HOTWORX franchise contact. From there I reached out to the owner of the Tyler, TX studio and asked if I could come over (only an hour and a half from Shreveport) and tour the studio. Blake was extremely welcoming and informative. After that visit I was hooked! My first session was great. I did a 15-minute HIIT session and then a 30-minute Hot Yoga session. I met and spoke with a member who told me all about her experience as a member and how pleased she was with the HOTWORX concept. I spoke with a woman who had come in with a friend for a free workout and asked her opinion and if she was going to join. She was very pleased and said she was going to join for these reasons: 24 hour access, short workout time, PLUS she liked and understood the advantage of infrared energy exposure. She is married with children and works full time so every offering fit into her daily life. My first HOTWORX experience was challenging and informative.

How was your experience going through the HOTWORX Discovery Process?
I sort of answered this question above but I will add that the General Manager and the TSA at the Metairie studio were awesome- very welcoming, took the time to walk me through the studio, all the while being very attentive to their members.

What was it like attending Orientation Day and meeting the HOTWORX Executive Team?
Orientation Day was awesome. I have never purchased a franchise so I did not know what to expect but I was truly amazed at the professionalism, expertise, informative, and welcoming of the entire executive team. I did meet and get to know another potential franchisee, who is now an owner, that had purchased franchises in the past and I was told he had never been so impressed by a company as he was experiencing with the HOTWORX team. The schedule was adhered to almost to the minute with total respect given us, their potential owners. By the end of the meeting I felt that just about every question I had had been answered, leaving no doubt that I wanted to be a member of the HOTWORX family.

What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs considering the opportunity to franchise with HOTWORX?
As for advice to other entrepreneurs considering a HOTWORX franchise…just do your homework, research, ask if you may tour a studio and go from there.

What are the top 3 reasons you chose to franchise with HOTWORX?
I chose HOTWORX because I believe in the concept, there is not a studio in my area, the contact people and the executive staff are very professional and supportive, which I need and will need as I go through the process of opening and building my business. I have found that there is not a single “stupid” question and patience is not lost if I ask the same question … a few times!

What goals do you have in bringing HOTWORX to your market?
My goals in bringing HOTWORX to Shreveport are introducing another alternative workout concept that fits into our fast paced world today. Of course I saw an opportunity to make $$ to add some comfort to my life, plus the exposure to the world of business again. Shreveport may be a challenge introducing our infrared sauna workouts, but with support from the executive team helping me to educate the public I believe HOTWORX will be widely welcomed and accepted, which offers to many people another avenue toward better health.

What are you most excited for in your first year as a HOTWORX franchisee?
In my first year, of course, I pray for monetary success and MANY happy members!!
