Love at First Workout

HOTWORX congratulates franchisees, Patrick and Stacy Johnson, who were awarded a franchise license in the Milwaukee market and recently opened their Pewaukee, WI studio!

What originally motivated you to consider a business opportunity?
Patrick is a Real Estate Broker that hosts a TV show that interviews local business owners and features real estate. He had the chance to interview Jen at HOTWORX Milwaukee and loved the concept. He knew that Stacy would absolutely love it as well, as she has been a hot yoga teacher for almost a decade. It was love at first workout and we instantly reached out to explore opening a location close to our home in Pewaukee, WI.

What led you to explore franchising rather than an independent business?
Two words - Turn Key! Patrick runs a top producing real estate team and Stacy works at a fortune 100 company in strategic partnerships. Together we also have a real estate investing business and own several rentals in Wisconsin and Alabama. Aside from our business life, we are also parents to Tallulah (4) and Rocco (2). The ability to have a proven business plan that could easily be executed on was an important part of the decision making process for us and HOTWORX not only had an amazing, profitable concept, but a team of passionate leaders at corporate to guide us on our journey. It was a no brainer.

What was your initial impression of your first HOTWORX session?
Patrick: Within the first 2 minutes of doing the workout I could feel the effects of being in the sauna coupled with the exercise. I didn't need to warm up and I felt great afterwards.

Stacy: I am obsessed with hot everything (especially yoga) so that 30 min session felt like home. I tried Hot Cycle for the first time and I actually remember saying out loud to myself in the sauna, "OMG I can't believe this exists!" I'm not sure if it was sweat or I was tearing up, but either way I was hooked!

How was your experience going through the HOTWORX Discovery Process?
It couldn't go fast enough. We knew early on that we wanted to move forward with HOTWORX, and we got more and more excited with each weekly call. We were paired up with Nancy and she was so passionate and knowledgeable about the brand. However, she was vetting us just as we were vetting the opportunity. We got a lot of information throughout the process and by the time we made it to Orientation, we felt extremely prepared. Overall, it was a great experience.

How would you describe your Orientation Day and meeting the HOTWORX Executive Team?
The team was great and the passion was palatable! It was clear that each one of them loved what they did and were excited to share HOTWORX with each of us. Leader after leader spoke of their journey (some of 20+ years), some of which looked as if they were in their 20s. (Hopefully this speaks to the benefits of regular sauna use!)

What advice would you give to other candidates considering the opportunity to franchise with HOTWORX?
Schedule a call and do it! Be sure to ask lots of questions and talk to as many existing franchisees as you can before you take the plunge.

What goals do you plan to accomplish in your first year as a HOTWORX franchisee?
If we're being honest, we want the Jeep (1250 memberships!)! Crushing Pre-sale and getting as many people as possible enjoying a better life because of HOTWORX.

How will HOTWORX help you achieve your personal and professional goals?
The three biggest areas of focus in our lives are health, wealth and connection, and HOTWORX provides us the opportunity to work on all three of these at the same time. We couldn't be more excited to begin this journey.
