HOTWORX congratulates franchisees, Kelli and Mike Rogerson, who were awarded a franchise license in the Louisville market and recently opened their Jeffersonville, IN studio!
What originally motivated you to consider a business opportunity?
Kelli: I currently work as an Acute Care NP in the inpatient Cardiology field. I also own my own coaching business, helping mainly women get fit and healthy. My husband and I took our first HOTWORX session during Covid and fell in love with the saunas and the health benefits. Prior to HOTWORX, we had never thought about franchising.
Mike: Kelli and I have always wanted to do something in fitness, we just didn't know where we would fit in. After doing the workout at HOTWORX and hearing about the franchise opportunity, we felt like it was right for us.
What led you to explore franchising rather than an independent business?
Kelli: HOTWORX. We had never had any interest in franchising until attending a session. After our first session, we were immediately interested.
Mike: The opportunity to have someone coach you along, to have a playbook in place, and the ability to have numerous resources at our disposal made franchising a great option for us.
What was your initial impression of your first HOTWORX session?
Kelli: LOVED IT!! Love the concept. Loved the environment.
Mike: WE ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!
How was your experience going through the HOTWORX Discovery Process?
Kelli: We initially started the Discovery Process in February and then got very nervous. We called Cynthia back in October and were then ready to learn more. We had a couple bumps in the road but she did a great job presenting us with the information.
Mike: Cynthia really held our hands and was very patient with us. There wasn't much that we covered during orientation that she hadn't already touched on.
How would you describe your Orientation Day and meeting the HOTWORX Executive Team?
Kelli: Orientation Day was long but super exciting and very informational. It was nice putting a name, face, and job with the leaders in the company.
Mike: The HOTWORX team was very energetic. They seemed to be a family.
What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs considering the opportunity to franchise with HOTWORX?
Kelli: You will be nervous. You will be scared. You will fear failure, BUT growth and success comes from stepping outside your comfort zone. JUMP IN WITH BOTH FEET AND DON'T LOOK BACK.
Mike: Don't be afraid to ask questions. Understand that you are going to be nervous and that is ok. Enjoy the ride.

Mike: There is nothing like this in the area. There is one yoga studio and a Planet Fitness. The area is craving this type of innovative business.
What goals do you plan to accomplish in your first year as a HOTWORX franchisee?
Kelli: 500 club+ and profitable. Success and hopefully discussing opening a 2nd location.
Mike: For the memberships - 500 club. For the studio - retention of the manager. For our marriage - that this venture brings us closer together.
How will HOTWORX help you achieve your personal and professional goals?
Kelli: Personal - increase my overall health. Provide another stream of income for my family. Professional - looked my "fears" in the eye, stepped outside my comfort zone and went for something that scared me to death. Excited to create a profitable business.
Mike: This will give my wife and I the opportunity to stop working for someone else!!!
