What lead you to explore franchise opportunities?
I have an uncontrollable urge to constantly try to reinvent myself. I’m never afraid to take a risk when there is a proven track record of success. HOTWORX has already done just that! After much research, plus reading all the success stories that are already flooding social media, I instantly knew that I wanted in. As a fitness instructor for over 8 years, I have taught and taken numerous formats of fitness. Some I have enjoyed and others, well not so much. But this workout is like no other. The patent-pending infrared sauna offers more than just a workout, but the key benefit is that each client can get their workout done in 30 minutes. Each member can stay as long as they choose and take as many sessions as they so desire in a 24 hour a day / 7 day a week facility. This workout is like no other and the results will speak for themselves.
Can you describe your first HOTWORX experience?
HOT! HOT! HOT! Did I mention it was HOT? Seriously though, it was nothing short of amazing. This was a different kind of heat that I had never experienced before while working out but it felt so good. It’s nothing like sitting in a sauna at the gym where you feel like you can’t breathe. The first session I chose was the Hot Yoga session. I had more sweat pouring off my body than I have ever experienced before. (Mind you I have run 2 half-marathons too.) To know that I could burn so many calories in such a short amount of time was exhilarating. I can’t wait to get my burn on, on a daily basis! All I can say is, “GET READY TO SWEAT WICHITA!”
How was your experience going through the HOTWORX Discovery Process?
I would be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous. But from the moment Nancy picked me up from my hotel, it oddly enough felt like I had known her my whole life. I listened intently to everything she said on the drive to the Home Office. She sounded so much like me that I knew instantly that this was going to be a perfect fit. Like myself, her passion for fitness runs deep and there is something to be said about those who truly have the heart for making other peoples lives better. After arriving at the Home Office I was instantly greeted by a room full of strangers. Each and every person immediately came up and introduced themselves and what they do for the company. They truly made me feel like I was the most important person in the room.
What was it like attending Discovery Day and meeting the HOTWORX Executive Team?
The experience was exciting. Each aspect of the business was broken down into sections that made it easy to follow. I enjoyed the fact that no matter how many questions were asked, everybody from the executive team took the time to answer all of them, even if that meant we ran almost 30 minutes behind schedule, oops. They each took the time to tell us a little about themselves and how they came to HOTWORX and the past experience/education they had and then took the time to find out a little about us. There is something to be said about working with people you feel connected with. The HOTWORX executive staff possess the whole package when it comes to just that and Nancy, Bebe, Jodie and Jennifer, just to name a few, made the experience more than I could have ever imagined. I walked in as a stranger and left feeling like family.
What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs considering the opportunity to franchise with HOTWORX?
If you have a passion for fitness and improving the lives of others then HOTWORX may be the dream franchise you’ve been waiting for. Running your own business is incredibly satisfying and rewarding, but it’s challenging too. You need to be a positive person, always seeing the opportunities and potential ahead of you, rather than being discouraged at the first setback. The rewards are there for the tenacious of spirit. If you have the ambition to do well and have a strong determined streak, you’ll likely make a great franchisee with HOTWORX. All I can say is if you don’t get in now while you can, someone else will. What goals do you have in bringing HOTWORX to your market?
To be able to offer the community a higher quality workout that will provide proven results in less time. I read a fitness blog recently that said, “Time is perhaps the most valuable commodity that we have in life. When it comes to fitness, people are more discerning than ever to find the right programs to make the most of their time in the gym.The four things that they want to achieve quickly are to: Look Better, Move Better, Feel Better, Live Longer.” This couldn’t be truer in today's world and HOTWORX is able to offer all of that with the infrared saunas. Simply put, the quality of life is so important and staying fit and active without giving up hours a day is exactly what HOTWORX provides.
What are you most excited for in your first year as a HOTWORX franchisee?
They say after doing something for 10 days straight it becomes a habit. So if you take that 10 days and role it into 365 the results will speak for themselves. My passion for fitness runs deep and I cannot wait to introduce Wichita and the surrounding area to the amazing benefits HOTWORX brings. To be part of a franchise that has proven results and to now be able to see those results up close and personal in my own community will be exciting.
