What lead you to explore franchise opportunities?
I had been looking into franchises for over a year. As I was nearing the end of my years as a minister and looking for future growth and opportunity, I decided to look for a franchise opportunity to continue to grow myself and of course my income.
Can you describe your first HOTWORX experience?
My first session was awesome. I was extremely impressed with how quickly I became acclimated to the heat of the sauna. I was amazed and thrilled with the Virtual Instructors, as well as the ability to go at your own pace while still pushing yourself to be the best you can be. The addition of group sessions added that competitive and accountability factor that I missed in my regular gym workouts.
What was it like attending Discovery Day and meeting the HOTWORX Executive Team?
The Discovery Process was very enlightening. I was a bit on the nervous side going into the Discovery Day. Meeting the various department heads and witnessing their expertise in each of their fields quickly calmed the anxiety of what I was about to do. The small size of the class allowed for time to interact not only with the employees of HOTWORX, but the others who were there exploring the franchise opportunity as well.
My recruiter, Teresa Normand, had done a great job preparing me for the day and what to expect, but there is a difference between the phone and in-person communication. Would they like me once they met me in person? Would they think I would be a good fit for the company? Would I like them and feel accepted? Family is very important to me and I wanted to be a part of a business that viewed their franchisees as part of the family. Having worked several years in the franchisor/franchisee world, I had seen the good and the bad, and the bad was really bad. Once I arrived and my heart slowed to a normal pace, everyone associated with the company made me feel so at ease and welcomed into their world. The day was a great bonding experience and I left feeling like I had just expanded my family and now I had relatives in the New Orleans area. Steve did such a great job of making you feel important by simply being a down to earth person who wanted to help you attain your desire to be a successful business owner.
What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs considering the opportunity to franchise with HOTWORX?
I would strongly advise them to give this franchise opportunity a very serious look. They have made the decision as simple as possible for those who may already own other franchises, as well as those of us who are entering the franchise world for the first time.

Helping others to reach a healthy lifestyle so they can live longer and enjoy the blessing of family and community. Creating a family environment that will have a positive impact on our community. Of course the obvious, create a successful business lifestyle that will support my family in the days and years to come. Meet people from all over the world and build an extended family through mutual struggles and successes.
What are you most excited for in your first year as a HOTWORX franchisee?
Grow a successful business for myself and overall impacting the brand in a positive light. Getting to meet new people and help them enjoy a healthy lifestyle that HOTWORX can bring while not impacting their very busy lifestyles by spending hours at a conventional gym. Once again the obvious part of having a successful business will be providing my family with the money to experience a comfortable lifestyle into our “Golden Years!”
