HOTWORX congratulates franchisees, Kim and Vinny Lamberto, who were awarded 3 franchise licenses in the New York market and recently opened their Middletown, NJ studio!
What originally motivated you to consider a business opportunity?
I had a career in sales in the wine industry after college and then took a break to raise my family and although we have a New Home Construction business together, I was looking for the missing piece of what sparked joy and had meaning for me and hopefully could bring me into retirement. I wanted to do something that was physical, had to do with health, and would allow me to get back into sales and work with customers.
What led you to explore franchising rather than an independent business?
When HOTWORX popped up on my Facebook feed, it sparked joy for me and I immediately wanted to find out more about it. What I liked about the option of franchising is that almost all of the decisions have been made for you and you just have to follow the playbook. The franchise is consistently moving forward with innovation, which allows us to constantly deliver a better experience for the customer.
What was your initial impression of your first HOTWORX session?
I was able to kindly visit my Staten Island neighbor and quickly jumped in for a portion of a Hot Thunder session. I can't wait to bring this to my DMA so I can benefit from our 3D Training on a daily basis!
How was your experience going through the HOTWORX Discovery Process?
We had a great experience. Our Franchise Recruiter, Mandy, was amazing...very informative, patient, and answered every question as we kept thinking ahead. For us, the timing of the process was needed as we were able to be presented with the information and then have time to digest and discuss it before we moved onto the next section of learning the business.
How would you describe your Orientation Day and meeting the HOTWORX Executive Team?
Orientation Day was such a great opportunity to meet and get more of a "real feel" for the company. You can tell that a lot of the company is made up of people whose paths have crossed and that they have worked together in various capacities for many years. It was like they were one big family and that made us feel comfortable to want to be able to join and be a part of. Although Orientation Day was a full day, the time went very quickly! Mandy said just take it all in and enjoy...the day is about you!
What advice would you give to other candidates considering the opportunity to franchise with HOTWORX?
Definitely go through the Discovery Process, take time to ingest the information, do your homework and research, ask questions, and from that you will be able to make the best decision for you.

What excites you the most in offering HOTWORX to your community?
It is something that is unique and quite new in our area! We are so excited to be one of the first locations on the Jersey Shore! I can't wait to see our customers embrace this way of working out, get healthy, and see their changes as we continually grow!
What goals do you plan to accomplish in your first year as a HOTWORX franchisee?
Being of a competitive nature, I plan to open on time with 200+ customers, hit 500 members within 6 months, and become profitable in that timeframe as well.
How will HOTWORX help you achieve your personal and professional goals?
HOTWORX has a great support system in place to help you succeed every step of the way! We will work with and be guided by our Performance Coach, Sean, to achieve our goals. Personally, we are just so excited to bring this healthy way of working out to our community! We will enjoy the ride into retirement as we develop HOTWORX in NJ! Thanks for the opportunity!!!
