HOTWORX congratulates franchisees, Alisen and Brandon Sanders, who were awarded 2 franchise licenses in the Austin market recently opened their Pflugerville, TX (Wells Branch) studio!
What originally motivated you to consider a business opportunity?
Brandon started his own property management business and I was a high school teacher, turned elementary principal, turned fraternity Mom... I mean stay at home Mom with our four boys. We are wanting to challenge ourselves and are always looking for new business ventures. We both have been lifelong athletes and are excited about combining our passions of fitness and business.
What led you to explore franchising rather than an independent business?
Brandon started a commercial property management company years ago and built it up from the ground level. He had to create all the systems, resources, and policies, do all the hiring, and form his business from trial and error. With franchising, we don’t have to start empty handed. HOTWORX has a successful system already in practice and there are mountains of resources available to franchisees.
What was your initial impression of your first HOTWORX session?
My first session at HOTWORX was during a birthday trip for my teenage son. He and his buddies were at an indoor water park and there was a HOTWORX studio across the street from the resort. I was so ready to not be with a bunch of teenage boys at a water park that I signed up for two sessions. The Hot Blast session was quick and I sweated more than I’ve ever sweat before. When the instructor talked about being a warrior, I felt like the female version of Gerard Butler in the movie 300. I did Hot Yoga next and was surprised by how my flexibility increased in the sauna. Brandon snuck out of a business meeting to go to Hot Yoga for the first time. Having broken his back as a college athlete, he has to be careful with what positions he attempts. It was the first workout he was able to complete without being in pain in years, so he was immediately sold.
How was your experience going through the HOTWORX Discovery Process?
Nancy was amazing! Has anyone ever talked to Nancy Price and not immediately needed her to be their best friend? We talked to clients and business partners who have had various experiences with multiple other franchises, seeking the answer of what they wished they would have known going into their businesses. Every single question they had was either answered in the paperwork for HOTWORX or by Nancy during the Discovery Process.
How would you describe your Orientation Day and meeting the HOTWORX Executive Team?
Informative, monumental, and exciting are all words we feel describe our Orientation Day. There were some bizarre circumstances that resulted in us being the only franchisees in our orientation group, so we were able to have a very personally focused day where all our questions and concerns were addressed.
What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs considering the opportunity to franchise with HOTWORX?
I would advise them to just take the leap.

What excites you the most in offering HOTWORX to your community?
We know there are so many people from all walks of life who can benefit from HOTWORX. We are excited to make big changes and crush big goals along side our gym members.
What goals do you plan to accomplish in your first year as a HOTWORX franchisee?
Our goal is to open two locations and hit the 500 member mark for both in the next 12 months.
How will HOTWORX help you achieve your personal and professional goals?
HOTWORX offers us an exciting opportunity to stretch way outside of our comfort zones while starting a new business a few hours away from our hometown. The systems in place, the continued support of our coach, Maurizia Taylor, as well as that of the HOTWORX community, facilitate a setup for success in both our personal and professional goals.
