What led you to explore franchise opportunities?
Owning our own business has always been a dream of ours. When an opportunity arose, we realized we had to take it. The question then became WHAT do we do. We started looking at various options and then it hit us… Let’s do something we both love and would truly be passionate about and that was fitness. At that point, the decision was easy when we came across HOTWORX and the unique fitness concept around it. It also didn’t hurt that there were multiple revenue driven streams that came along with it.

Can you describe your first HOTWORX experience?
How do you describe an experience that was completely NOT what you expected? It’s not easy to put into words, but what we expected was concern around the heat, around the ability to breath in that environment, cleanliness of the saunas and so on. Boy, were we wrong to worry. Pleasantly surprised is an understatement. We both experience the benefits of the infrared that day. We both were impressed with the heat not being what we expected but more of a healing experience. The saunas were great, clean, and every concern we had was addressed easily and without question. Our excitement and motivation escalated and we recognized this franchise would deliver the passion we wanted in our lives.

How was your experience going through the HOTWORX Discovery Process?
We were impressed with how well everything was structured for such a young business. The knowledge level and experience Nance brought was very comforting. What made it even more appealing was Nancy’s concern that we needed more time and didn’t want us to rush into a decision instead of trying to drive us to it to fit her timeline.

What was it like attending Orientation Day and meeting the HOTWORX Executive Team?
The expertise of the entire executive team allowed us to be confident throughout all aspects of the business. We both were impressed with how well it was structured as well as the comradery between everyone. This added to our desire to be part of the HOTWORX family.

What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs considering the opportunity to franchise with HOTWORX?
It’s ok to ask tough questions and to challenge/give pushback. It was the responses to those questions and pushback that helped us decide this was for us. Call other franchisees and ask them the tough questions as well. Look for a location near you and visit it prior to Orientation Day. It’s your future and your finances so you need to make sure that not only is this a good fit for you but that you are a good fit for this.

What are the top 3 reasons you chose to franchise with HOTWORX?
1) Unique fitness concept, 2) Multiple revenue streams, 3) The executive staff along with the knowledge, support, experience, and proven track record they brought with them.

What goals do you have in bringing HOTWORX to your market?
We’re excited to bring a unique fitness concept to our community allowing folks to reach their fitness goals, on their schedule, on their terms, and in a safe and friendly environment. And it goes without saying, to also be the #1 fitness in Wilmington.

What are you most excited for in your first year as a HOTWORX franchisee?
Does “everything” sound good? haha. We’re excited about delivering a unique concept, about offering people the ability to reach their fitness goals in a new and exciting way, about the many benefits infrared provides, about laying the foundation to be able to provide our Daughter with a future business that the financial stability which any parent wants for their child.
