An Entrepreneurial Spirit

HOTWORX welcomes new franchisee, Dr. Anthony Podloski, who was awarded 3 franchise licenses in the Las Vegas market and is currently in Presale at his Las Vegas, NV (Aliante) studio!

What originally motivated you to consider a business opportunity?
I retired from a large optometric private practice (4 locations) I had started at in 2002, grew with, and became a partner in, back in Feb 2020.  I have continued to see patients elsewhere part-time, but had been looking at other business ventures even before leaving.  I have been investing and had an entrepreneurial spirit all of my adult life, and knew there had to be another path I could grow in.

What led you to explore franchising rather than an independent business?
The idea of a proven system that has worked and is thriving.  I was in an independent business before and there were always bumps in the road and issues to handle before things got figured out.

What was your initial impression of your first HOTWORX session?
I still haven't done one!  When I began the process to become a franchisee, I had practiced bikram yoga for almost 3 years in the past.  I've seen hot yoga and hot exercise gyms for years.  The idea of the shorter time and the infrared sauna, along with all the glowing online reviews from various locations, was enough to convince me to start going down the path.

How was your experience going through the HOTWORX Discovery Process?
I was impressed with the standardization of the process and the information provided.  Mandy was also very friendly and easy to work with.

How would you describe your Orientation Day and meeting the HOTWORX Executive Team?
Even though it was virtual, it was great!  Everyone was very personable and likable, with years upon years of experience.  What impressed me the most was how just about everyone involved either owns a HOTWORX and/or Planet Beach franchise and that some of their children were in the process of opening their own.  Really speaks to their belief in the system!

What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs considering the opportunity to franchise with HOTWORX?
Do your homework and pursue it if you genuinely want to help people get healthier.

What are the top 3 reasons you chose to franchise with HOTWORX?
1. The workouts themselves, and how they were (inadvertently!) set up to be pandemic-friendly.  I see many gyms losing members and closing up over the last year, but not HOTWORX.
2. The business model and checklists provided
3. The rapid growth and sustainability in cities with many locations already.  My city only opened its 2nd location 6 weeks ago.

What excites you the most in offering HOTWORX to your community?
Bringing the incredible health benefits of 3D Training to a market with a healthy mindset and round-the-clock work schedules.

What goals do you plan to accomplish in your first year as a HOTWORX franchisee?
My goal is 750 members in the first year and to at least be in site selection for my 2nd location.

How will HOTWORX help you achieve your personal and professional goals?
By providing a proven system that will enable me to build a great team of managers and staff in prime locations while providing health benefits to the general public.
