HOTWORX congratulates franchisees, Jennifer and Dave Schwartz, who were awarded 2 franchise licenses in the Washington, D.C. (Hagerstown) market and recently opened their Chantilly, VA (Sully Plaza) studio!
What originally motivated you to consider a business opportunity?
We both grew up in the DC metro area and wanted to bring value to our community with a unique fitness and wellness opportunity. Dave is a medical device sales rep and Jennifer is a recruiter. We have 4 children in our blended family. We enjoy travel, good food, cooking together and eating out, maintaining an active lifestyle (Dave loves to go to the gym and Jennifer teaches Buti Yoga part-time). We wanted to be able to still spend time together, be with our kids, and have an active lifestyle and the freedom that will come with extra income.
What led you to explore franchising rather than an independent business?
We had been planning to open a wellness studio but delayed it due to covid. Jennifer found HOTWORX online and it was the perfect blend of a lot of what we were looking to do in a studio on our own, providing the community with a number of different health benefits but having the support of corporate and a business model already in place is a huge bonus!
What was your initial impression of your first HOTWORX session?
It was difficult and fun! I teach Buti Yoga and it is a pretty intense workout, so I was happy to do something that challenged me!
How was your experience going through the HOTWORX Discovery Process?
Cynthia was great through the whole process and we always knew she was there to answer any questions we had. We could tell this would be a supportive group!
How would you describe your Orientation Day and meeting the HOTWORX Executive Team?
A very passionate, knowledgeable, and team orientated group of people!

Listen to your Coach and follow the template and checklists. They are extremely helpful and keep you on track toward your goal of success.
