HOTWORX congratulates franchisee, Josalyn Aponte, who was awarded a franchise license in the Philadelphia market and recently opened her Doylestown, PA (Mercer Square) studio!
What originally motivated you to consider a business opportunity?
I am a Real Estate professional and have been for the last 5 years. I also served in the Army for 6 years. I invest in multifamilies and I currently have 3 that I manage myself. My goal for 2023 was to start a business. Originally, it was supposed to be a dog daycare since I love dogs and find the need for one in my neighborhood, and I even started the process. Then one day a good friend of mine invited me to check out HOTWORX. I immediately fell in love with the concept. As I was walking out, I saw the franchise available sign and I thought it was a sign. I remember not being able to sleep that night, and immediately reached out the next day for more information. I truly believe that everything happens for a reason, so I am excited to not only execute my goal, but to do it with HOTWORX.
What led you to explore franchising rather than an independent business?
As I previously stated, I started to work on an independent business, but then I came across HOTWORX and it was a no brainer for me. I would rather take a risk with this franchise that is already established than having to start from the very bottom and figure things out on my own.
What was your initial impression of your first HOTWORX session?
Brilliant. I cannot believe how much I could sweat in the 15 minute Hot Pilates session that I did. Then I tried to do the 15 minute Hot Cycle session afterwards, and let's just say I almost died. :)
How was your experience going through the HOTWORX Discovery Process?
Teresa was just wonderful! She made the process very seamless and any questions I had, she had answers, and if she didn't, she got back to me with them. She was very easy going and knowledgeable.
How would you describe your Orientation Day and meeting the HOTWORX Executive Team?
Orientation Day was very long, but very necessary. I enjoyed meeting every single person that joined us, including the other new franchisees. It made me so excited to work beside all of you.
What advice would you give to other candidates considering the opportunity to franchise with HOTWORX?
Be open minded. Look at the bigger picture. Ask the questions.

What excites you the most in offering HOTWORX to your community?
I'm most excited about being able to offer to assist people of all ages get in shape for a reasonable cost to my community.
