HOTWORX congratulates franchisees, Ethan, Nate, and Julie Taylor, who were awarded 2 franchise licenses in the Salt Lake City market and recently opened their Park City, UT (Kimball Junction) studio!
What originally motivated you to consider a business opportunity?
Ethan: I have been looking for a franchise that I could fully get behind. I love the fitness industry and helping people reach their goals is very important to me. I also love business and learning and exploring new things to help me reach my goals as well. I currently work managing a team selling solar.
Nate: We've always been open to new business opportunities. When my son approached me about partnering with him on it, it was compelling to be able to do something together.
What led you to explore franchising rather than an independent business?
Ethan: I like the idea of franchising because there is already a proven brand and model that works. It eliminates some of the risk and time that is needed in starting a new business. It is a great stepping stone and learning opportunity.
Nate: The business idea was already established and much of the details were already worked out. Our focus would be to market and sell an idea that was already well developed and one that we believed in.
What was your initial impression of your first HOTWORX session?
Ethan: My initial impression was "Dang, that is no joke." It pushes you and really makes you work for it. I really enjoyed it.
Nate: The intensity of it delivered a very strong workout that I continued to feel throughout the day.
How was your experience going through the HOTWORX Discovery Process?
Ethan: The Discovery Process was good. It was straight forward and really clear. I feel like it gave me enough information and answers to keep going.
Nate: The FDD was very thorough. Nancy was on each call and was very helpful in answering questions that we had. It helped that our spouses were already members and fans of HOTWORX and we asked them quite a few questions about their experience. Their answers confirmed what Nancy was telling us during the Discovery Process.
How would you describe your Orientation Day and meeting the HOTWORX Executive Team?
Ethan: Orientation Day further solidified how I was feeling about the team. There are a lot of impressive people on the HOTWORX team and everyone was very motivated to help us succeed. It only hyped us up even more.
Nate: It was an impressive team that was high energy, motivated, and very organized.
What advice would you give to other candidates considering the opportunity to franchise with HOTWORX?
Ethan: My advice would be that sometimes you just have to take the jump. Go for it. There is a proven framework and no one wins if your place fails. Everyone wants to see you succeed.
What are the top 3 reasons you chose to franchise with HOTWORX?
Ethan:

Nate:
1. My spouse and daughters believed in it.
2. The business model was very efficient and easy to operate.
3. The return on investment appears to be very strong.
What excites you the most in offering HOTWORX to your community?
Ethan: I'm excited to help people reach their physical goals, to become stronger, more confident, and more in shape than they previously have been.
Nate: It delivers a very high quality workout experience with strong health benefits in a very comfortable environment. It makes it easy for people to be able to join and enjoy the health benefits.
What goals do you plan to accomplish in your first year as a HOTWORX franchisee?
Ethan: There are obviously the 500 and 1000 member clubs that I would love to be a part of. I would also like to open with at least 382 members.
Nate: Get to 700 members.
How will HOTWORX help you achieve your personal and professional goals?
Ethan: HOTWORX allows me to be more free, to increase my income, to spend more time with my family, as well as doing things that I enjoy doing. I am very excited about this new opportunity.
Nate: It represents an independent source of income as we plan for retirement.
