New Infrared Workout Alert:  Hot BARRE NONE™

Last week our company held a franchise convention in Las Vegas at the Planet Hollywood Hotel.  One of the highlights of that convention was the announcement of a new workout that we have appropriately named Hot Barre None.

Yes, you heard that right, Hot Barre “NONE” is coming soon to a studio near you!

Hot Barre None is an all out barre workout that burns 20-30% more calories than hot yoga!  This workout was especially choreographed for HOTWORX and will be exclusive to HOTWORX members when it is rolled out this August.  This workout represents a year in the making.  It was filmed, and then re-filmed, tested and then retested with various different types of ballet barre hardware inside of the infrared workout sauna.  After all of that it was determined that no barre hardware was even necessary to provide a great barre workout…thus, the name Hot Barre None.

We discovered that by using the back wall of the sauna as a simple way for clients to reach for balance, or rest a hand on the wall for support during exercise rather than the use of an actual barre provided for an even better workout.  So, during the workout the virtual instructor will cue clients to use the “barre none” which is the sauna wall at the appropriate level according to their individual waist height.

After researching the topic of proper barre height for fitness it became clear to me that barre height for fitness is best when tailored for the individual and not the same height for all.  Here is a set of barre height recommendations from one online ballet source, dinamicaballet.com:

  1. “Level with your elbow”

2.  “At arm’s length, without raising your shoulder”

3.  “Level with where your hands are in the second position”

4.  “Between the hip and the waist”¹

Of course, the HOTWORX Barre None can now accommodate all of those recommendations without the limitations of one barre height for all.

The individualized height for hand placement is certainly an advantage but not the only Hot Barre None advantage, for sure.  What about the barre workout inside of the infrared energy environment and the 125º heat?  Just imagine it.  I can assure you that you will be pleased with the workout results.  For me, the workout burns about 25% more calories in the same amount of time that I burn in the HOTWORX Hot Yoga.  Now that’s adding even More to the More Workout, Less Time!

The new and super unique workout Hot Barre None is something that you really need to try when it is released.
