Infrared Workouts are Good for the Skin

Throughout the course of any given day our skin is bombarded with unwanted pollutants from the air, from things we touch and even things that we wear.  Dirt, dead cells, toxicants and natural toxins build up and clog the pores which can lead to skin damage.  This buildup of micro “gunk” can also reduce the flow of oxygen and blood inside of skin cells.

We need a skin detox routine!

Infrared sweating is good for clearing the skin.  Sweating expands pores and forces everything out.  As a natural skin purifying alternative to chemical products you can try infrared workouts.

Go ahead and “Sweat it Out” as we say at HOTWORX.

Infrared energy penetrates the skin up to 1.5 inches causing toxic substances to be released from cells and the heat generated from the infrared forces the body to sweat.  Sweating pushes everything out through the pores and cleanses the skin in the process.

TIP:  Be sure to wipe your skin immediately after sweating and during your infrared workouts.  Wiping off the sweat ensures that the toxic substances do not remain on the surface or re-enter the body back through the skin.  One of the most effective practices is to use a cold, essential oil infused towelette during and after your infrared workouts.  I recommend the use of a cold, natural lemon oil towelette.  Each of our HOTWORX 24 hour infrared fitness studios make these chilled towelettes available for purchase at any given time through our vending machines that can be found in the workout area for convenience.

In last weeks blog post I mentioned how infrared exposure can be beneficial to women during that time of the month.

“Another annoying side affect from PMS are those unruly breakouts. During that time of the month your skin takes a beating again because of the rising and falling level of hormones in your body. Utilizing an infrared sauna enhances skins tone, elasticity, clarity, and firmness. The expelling of toxins along with the body ability to naturally sweat/open pores also allows for a perfect opportunity to deeply cleanse the face after a warm session.”¹

As I travel the country visiting various HOTWORX studios I listen to customers.  Many of them have told me that they LOVE the way the infrared workouts make their skin look and feel.  If you haven’t tried an infrared workout, then you don’t know what you are missing.  In addition to all of the other benefits, do it for the health of your skin!
