Cardio Freedom Club

Cardio Freedom Club

The old school way of getting your cardio in reminds me of the rock band Creed song “My Own Prison”.

I am sure there are many people like me who have spent countless hours on various cardio machines such as treadmills and stair steppers slaving away painfully, step after step after step.  Yes, you know what I mean.

Three years ago I declared my independence from treadmills and steppers.

FREEDOM!!!  How exhilarating it is.

I changed my cardio routine forever when I began practicing the HOTWORX method of fitness.  Image if you could actually get excited to go do cardio.  That’s the way it is for me now.  I am actually stoked to step into an infrared sauna for my workouts.  On any given day for me it might be yoga, or pilates, or a quick HIIT workout inside of the small group fitness infrared sauna.  Whatever it is, I feel like it’s game time throughout the whole workout.

Immediately when I enter the sauna my heart rate jumps and in no time I am at my target 85% of heart rate max continuously during the workout.

I never even pay attention to the fact that I am doing cardio because the workouts are fast, intense and they flow well from set to set, posture to posture or interval to interval.  The virtual instructors are very motivating and they ensure that the workouts move at a good pace.

I tell people that it’s  “ghost cardio”.  It’s a great cardio workout that you never even know you’re doing.

Free yourself from treadmill drudgery.  Join in on some infrared fitness excitement!

I see the social media comments and I am not the only person who is experiencing the infrared workout fun.  I workout in the HOTWORX usually with two co-workers.  The camaraderie inside of the sauna is so much greater than what can be experienced on a treadmill next to another treadmill.  When I go into other gyms I always take note of how sad people look when they are on a piece of cardio equipment.  Take a look for yourself next time.  Maybe you are one of those sad faces on the treadmills.  Even the name of that equipment connotes monotony…“tread” and “mill”…a grinding walk, if you will.

Declare your independence now and welcome yourself to the cardio freedom club.
