BURN Baby BURN It Off!

Posted January 21, 2017

I am convinced that the HOTWORX Hot Iso 30 minute workout gives the best calorie after-burn in the business.  Take a look at my most recent workout results:

As you can see, I burned 905 calories in a 105 minute period of time.

Let’s Break It Down…

After my Hot Iso workout at 125 degrees in the HOTWORX infrared sauna, I had burned 444 calories.  So then I let the workout data continue to calculate on my Apple Watch until I took the photos above.  In slightly over an hour after my workout, I had burned another 461 calories, which is more than I burned during my workout!

It Gets Better…

For a guy like me who weighs 185 and has a height of approximately 5’ 10”, my daily metabolic rate would allow me to burn 1749 doing absolutely nothing and 2274 calories per day just getting up, going to work and sitting at my desk without exercise.  So, to have a 30 minute workout that can get me 40% of the way to my BMR, and that much closer to my daily weight loss/fat burn threshold is awesome!

Find yourself a good BMR calculator online, and there are several good ones out there that you can use to calculate your Basal Metabolic Rate.  This will allow you to know based on your age, sex, weight and height, where you will need to go to reach the daily weight loss/fat burn threshold.  When you go beyond that number and you limit your caloric intake to your BMR + daily activity level without exercise, then you will lose weight and fat in a very expedient manner.  The key is to find the most effective exercise for calorie burn and after-burn so that you can reach an effective daily calorie deficit.

“Putting yourself in a 500-calorie deficit every day should result in the loss of one pound every week, Greaves says.”  http://www.everydayhealth.com/weight/boost-weight-loss-by-knowing-your-bmr.aspx

If I wanted to lose a pound per week, then I would keep eating like I do to maintain my 185 lbs. and I would increase my calorie burn by 3500 calories per week, thereby creating a 3500 calorie deficit per week.  I could accomplish that by doing a 30 minute HOTWORX workout 4 times per week.  How awesome is that?  BURN Baby BURN those calories…

Just keeping it simple is usually the best weight loss strategy.
