Mission 2021: Be a More Powerful You

Twenty-twenty was tough. It’s time to focus on YOU again! Work on your body and improve your mind this year through fitness. When your mind and body are in sync, strengthening together, a more powerful you will be the result.

At HOTWORX we believe and promote this equation: MIND + BODY = POWER.

The word power comes from the Latin word potere, meaning "to be able”. Power is the enabler of force, and force is our leverage to more productivity. Everyone wants to be a force and feel more powerful, but not everyone is willing to put in the work. Choose to do the work this year!

Back to power. What is power really? Power, simply put, is the ability to do something. Doing more than what has been done before should always be the mission. So, let’s ask ourselves, “What will it take to increase our personal power in 2021 so that we can all do more?”

Personal power needs two things, physical might and mental efficacy. Becoming a more powerful you requires continual development of physical and mental strength. Infrared training can help by providing faster workout recovery and heat shock proteins for better results. The cool thing about developing physical strength is the fact that when you workout you are conditioning your mind for development as well. When the mind and body connect as one with an excellent fitness routine, both mind and body gain power through strength.

I have written several articles on the mental benefits of infrared training. I’ve found that a good workout in the morning before the work day begins is great for mental efficacy, and a lunchtime workout can give you an added edge for data analysis, research, and decision-making in the afternoon.

Power up this year with a commitment to train harder and think smarter!

A fit workforce is a powerful workforce!

As reported by ACE (American Council on Exercise) “…when you’re done working out, brain blood flow — enriched with higher levels of BDNF — returns to normal. According to Ratey, this is the optimal time for focusing on tasks that require serious brain power.” (1) Therefore, it makes sense to train before work or during the work day.

One synonym for power is the word mastery. Gaining a professional mastery at work is the only true form of job security. Anything that can give you an edge at work like developing a brain with more “efficacy” will not only make you invaluable to your work team, it will make you more money. Better decision-making and greater capacity for processing information will give you more power. Gaining more personal power means that you will accomplish more in less time. Building power for work will set your career up for positive professional momentum.

With 2020 in the rearview, a focus on developing your personal power through infrared fitness this year is a worthy resolution for 2021.
