I am sure that you’ve had a three dimensional experience from a visual standpoint. Take movies for example. Compare a really good 3D movie to a non-3D movie, or compare it to color movies from the last century, or go all the way back to black and white films. Obviously, the movies have come a long way in providing a better experience for movie goers. It makes a huge difference by adding the spacial experience of 3D. I see the kid movies that my four year old daughter watches and I have to laugh when I think about the old cartoons that I watched as a kid. Some of the new animations are just stunning to watch.
I doubt anyone would disagree that the future of visual experiences belongs to 3D and beyond.
What about fitness? Can the application of another dimension be utilized in a training method?
Absolutely, it can, if we think in terms of how we can make our workout space more effective.
The third dimension in fitness is infrared energy!
Let’s take a brief look back at fitness from a dimensional perspective. Most gyms and fitness studios still use air-conditioned workout rooms to prevent any environmental “discomfort”. This first dimension is exercise alone with no consideration given to the workout environment… boring…
It wasn’t until the advent of hot yoga that another spacial dimension was brought to bear. The second dimension of fitness, which is heat, was introduced in the early 1970’s by Bikram Choudhury who founded the practice of hot yoga in Japan. By adding heat the practice of yoga was taken to another level of effectiveness and we can call this element of heat the second dimension of fitness.
Now comes the third dimension.
Infrared energy, or Infrared radiation (IR), also commonly known simply as infrared, is located on the electromagnetic radiation spectrum where length of light waves range from 700 nanometers to 1 millimeter. IR is a type of radiant energy that is invisible to the human eye. Infrared waves are located just beyond those of visible light.
Infrared energy is best delivered through the use of a sauna when applied to a fitness training environment. This is due to the need for subjects to be close enough in proximity to the energy source (infrared heaters) for maximum effectiveness. Humans need to remain 1 to 3 feet from the IR heaters for proper energy absorption. This is why the patented HOTWORX infrared sauna design has 63 square feet of floorspace and a precise configuration of carbon and ceramic IR heaters. The design is perfect for three individuals to workout together for a super effective small group training experience.
So what happens when the IR is absorbed into the skin during a workout? The deep penetration of up to 1.5 inches into the body causes positive things to happen at the cellular level. Infrared energy stimulates cellular activity to accelerate the oxidation of fat, speed up detoxification, and increase the amount of calories burned during the training session.
In fitness, customers want the absolute most that can be obtained in the shortest amount of time. By adding the third dimension of infrared energy to the workout, more results can be obtained in less time. The HOTWORX mantra is MORE WORKOUT, LESS TIME. Three dimensional training delivers way more than the one dimensional air-conditioned gym or studio and more than a two dimensional studio with only heat and no infrared energy.
Time is your most valuable commodity. Get the most out of it.
Maximize your workouts by incorporating infrared energy, the third fitness dimension, into your routine!
