The HOTWORX franchise is one of the most innovative fitness concepts in the industry today. Inspired from a statement that yoga should be done in a sauna, the franchise expanded that notion and created 12 new hot exercise workout types to form the game changing 3D Training Method for small group training. Countless innovations had to happen to get the concept where it is today, from software and app developments to newly patented workout equipment and faster workout techniques, the list continues to grow. One of those innovations was to deliver the workouts to customers through a monitor inside of the specially designed infrared sauna. The virtual instructor monitor was a part of that design for the ground-breaking HOTWORX infrared sauna which is now patented. The placement of the monitor for up to three people to view a virtual instructor has helped hundreds of thousands of customers reach their fitness goals since the launch of the HOTWORX franchise back in 2017.
I made the decision soon after the launch of the franchise that we would need to create a competition, an international fitness talent search, to find the best fitness instructors who could be filmed to deliver a wide variety of workout types to our customers “virtually” inside of the saunas. We would require them to compete each year to make the roster of what is now the annual top 7 best instructors for HOTWORX.
Each year, over 150 certified fitness instructors from all over the USA and internationally submit an application to compete. This list is then narrowed down to the top 40 who then compete in the online round to raise money at $1 per vote for veterans in need. Then the top 15 travel to the company convention for the live competition and a chance to make the top 7. The competition itself is innovative. There is no other fitness showcase like it in the world!
