HOTWORX welcomes new franchisees, Michelle & Jeff Sharko, with the purchase of a franchise license in Chicago, Illinois!

What originally motivated you to consider a business opportunity?
I didn’t want to just let life pass us by. We are in our early 50s, our children are grown, and I didn’t want to just sit around and idle through. I wanted us to still be challenged and keep our lives moving forward in a positive active direction to show our children and grandchildren that it’s never too late to do something you believe in.

What led you to explore franchising rather than an independent business?
I had been looking at franchises for the past few years and was waiting for the right one. That’s when I found HOTWORX. I knew this was for me because it was everything that I believed in. Infrared heat, working out, and staying healthy- everything that is important to me for my family and myself.

What was your initial impression of your first HOTWORX session?
I was a little worried at first but when I got in the sauna, I was afraid I wasn’t going to be able to breathe. It turned out to be so opposite of what I expected in the best way. It was like a ton of bricks were just lifted off my shoulders. I was relaxed, I could breathe so easily, and it felt so good. It was challenging but it was invigorating, calming all at the same time. It’s hard to explain. After a normal workout with weights or whatever workout I used to do in a gym, I would feel tired, sore, etc. But after this I had energy, I felt great, and I had the best sleep in a long time.

How was your experience going through the HOTWORX Discovery Process?
My Discovery Process was a little unorthodox, as Nancy would say. You see I’ve been looking at and talking with HOTWORX since last April but never really pursued it until October of this year. That’s when I started talking with Nancy about really wanting to do this; she said there was an Orientation Day in my area if I wanted to attend. She said it would cover everything that they go over in the Discovery Process, so I jumped on it.

How would you describe your Orientation Day and meeting the HOTWORX Executive Team?
Upon walking into the room on Orientation Day, I was met with a huge hug from Nancy and introductions from everyone there. It was like walking into a room of long lost friends. It was very unique in that it was professional but it felt like you were in a room with people you’ve known forever.

What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs considering the opportunity to franchise with HOTWORX?
I would say jump on it. This company is amazing; they have thought of everything, I mean everything. They have done all the work for you in means of establishing a brand and company. Don’t get me wrong, you will have to put in the work but they will be there every step of the way.

What are the top 3 reasons you chose to franchise with HOTWORX?
1. Reputation of the company. Its rare to see that most of the people that work there have been there for more than 10 years, some for 20 years and that is very impressive.
2. The cost compared to other franchises we looked at.
3. It’s like getting a two for one, we can make some wealth and improve our health.

What excites you the most in offering HOTWORX to your community?
There is no other concept like this. I think the community is longing for something new and innovating. I can’t wait to be a part of changing their lives for the better.

What goals do you plan to accomplish in your first year as a HOTWORX franchisee?
My goals for my first year are to be a part of the 500 club and to have this be the most popular place to go workout at.

How will HOTWORX help you achieve your personal and professional goals?
HOTWORX will give us the opportunity to stay on a healthy path, while creating wealth for us to be able to retire one day comfortably.
